Get paid on Poshmark up to 30 minutes after the buyer accepts your item by choosing Instant Transfer. Venmo, PayPal, and bank transfers take up to 3 days for the money to hit your account.

Here’s a breakdown of the Poshmark payment options I’ve used, along with when each one makes the most sense for different cash flow needs.

How you get paid on Poshmark

You get paid on Poshmark when the buyer accepts the item or 3 days after delivery if they don’t report a problem. However, money doesn’t instantly hit your account unless you choose Instant Transfer. This option can send your money to your account within seconds, though it may take up to 30 minutes in some cases.

If you choose direct deposit, PayPal (if available in your region), or Venmo, it can take up to 3 business days to receive your payment.

You can also request a paper check by mail. This option usually takes longer than 3 days because you must wait for the check to arrive and then deposit it at your bank.

How you can get paid faster on Poshmark

An infographic titled "How you can get paid faster on Poshmark." Four steps shown: (1) Ship same day or next day; shipping box with sneakers and price tags; (2) Closely watch tracking; smartphone with location pin and handbag; (3) Message the buyer after delivery; heart speech bubble with jewellery and shoes; (4) Use the instant transfer option; credit card with lightning bolt and sneakers. You can get paid faster on Poshmark by reducing the time between shipment and delivery confirmation. Each option below targets a specific part of the process that can help your earnings reach your account sooner:

  1. Ship same day or next day: Delivery confirmation triggers the payout clock. Ship your item as soon as possible after the sale. Print and attach the prepaid shipping label right away, or package and ship the item yourself if you're covering shipping costs.
  2. Closely watch tracking: Carriers occasionally mark packages delivered before the buyer sees them. Catching a tracking stall early gives time to contact Poshmark support before the 3-day window becomes a dispute window.
  3. Message the buyer after delivery: Nudging buyers to accept the order when you see that it’s arrived can help you immediately receive funds and not wait on the 3-day auto-confirm. When tracking shows the package has arrived, send a quick thank-you message and ask whether everything looks good.
  4. Use the Instant Transfer option: Instant Transfer moves the available balance to a debit card within 30 minutes for a $2 fee, instead of waiting 2 to 3 business days for a standard bank transfer. If you’re moving high-margin items or volume, that fee is a predictable cost on Poshmark.

How to set up Poshmark payment methods: At a glance

Type of payout Fees Payout time Best for
Direct deposit No withdrawal fees charged 2–3 business days delivery Regular earnings withdrawals
Instant transfer $2 fee per transfer Minutes, up to 30 Fast access to cash
PayPal (if available) $0.35 fee per transfer 1–3 business days delivery PayPal users redeeming earnings
Venmo $0.35 fee per transfer 1–3 business days delivery Venmo users redeeming earnings
Check by mail No transfer fees charged Longer than electronic payouts Sellers preferring paper payments

Set up Poshmark payment methods by opening My Balance and selecting Redeemable Balance. Here’s how to set up each payment method:

  • Direct deposit: Set up direct deposit by linking a bank account to your Poshmark account. Poshmark doesn’t charge a withdrawal fee, but usually delivers funds within 2 to 3 business days. Many sellers choose this option when they redeem earnings regularly and want to avoid transfer fees.
  • Instant transfer: Add your eligible debit card, and funds usually arrive within minutes and may take up to 30 minutes. Poshmark charges $2 for each transfer. This option works best when you need faster access to earnings.
  • PayPal (if available): Connect your PayPal account if the option is available. Poshmark applies a $0.35 transfer fee, and funds arrive in your PayPal account in under 30 minutes. Transferring those funds from PayPal to your bank takes an additional 1–3 business days.
  • Venmo (if available): You can set up Venmo if the option is available. Poshmark charges a $0.35 transfer fee, and funds arrive in your Venmo account in under 30 minutes. Transferring those funds from Venmo to your bank takes an additional 1–3 business days.
  • Check by mail: Set up a mailed check by confirming the mailing address on your account. Delivery takes longer than electronic payouts.

How to cash out your Poshmark earnings

You can cash out your Poshmark earnings by visiting your Poshmark profile and following these steps:

Step 1: Open My Balance

Go to the Account tab in your Poshmark account and open My Balance. You'll see your redeemable earnings and any funds that are still pending.

Step 2: Select a payout method

Select the Redeemable option and choose from direct deposit, Instant Transfer, PayPal, Venmo, or a mailed check (availability varies by region).

Step 3: Submit your withdrawal amount request

Enter the amount you want to withdraw. Poshmark removes the funds from your balance immediately. The amount of time it takes to receive your funds depends on the payout method you choose.

Why is my Poshmark payment still pending?

Your Poshmark payment stays pending when the delivery isn’t yet confirmed, the buyer has flagged an issue with the order, or your payout method is still processing. Each situation has a different solution:

The buyer hasn't accepted the order

Buyers have the option to accept orders. Poshmark doesn’t require them to do so. If the buyer does nothing after tracking shows the package was delivered, Poshmark automatically releases the funds to you after the 3‑day review window. Always send the buyer a message that politely nudges them to accept the order.

The package is still in transit

Poshmark requires a delivered status in the carrier tracking before the release window opens. A package still in transit holds the payment regardless of how long ago it shipped. Keep an eye on tracking and get in touch with the shipping company if you discover any delays.

Open return case

When a buyer flags an issue with the item, Poshmark automatically freezes the transaction entirely. Poshmark holds the funds until you and the buyer have resolved the issues.

Tracking problems

Stalled tracking prevents delivery confirmation from triggering. Contacting Poshmark support with the order number gives them the ability to review the shipment instead of leaving the timeline open-ended.

Your withdrawal hasn’t finished processing

A redeemable balance isn’t the same as a settled payment. Standard bank transfers still require 2 to 3 business days after the redemption request is submitted. That window starts from submission, not from when Poshmark clears the sale.

FAQs

1. How fast do most sellers get paid on Poshmark?

Most sellers get paid a few days after delivery, not immediately after the sale. In practice, shipping speed matters more than listing speed. A seller who ships Monday, sees delivery Wednesday, receives acceptance Thursday, and requests direct deposit waits additional bank processing before funds appear.

2. How do you get paid on Poshmark after a sale?

Most sellers get paid on Poshmark within 3–6 days after delivery. The process can take as long as 3 days for auto-confirmation plus 2–3 business days for bank processing. Shipping faster or having a buyer who immediately accepts the item can shorten the overall wait.

3. Does Poshmark pay instantly?

No, Poshmark doesn’t pay instantly. You still need to wait for the package to arrive at the buyer. If the buyer doesn’t confirm, you must wait 3 days for Poshmark to clear the order. You can get paid faster with Instant Transfer, which takes up to 30 minutes after the buyer has accepted or the item has cleared Poshmark’s 3-day mark. Instant Transfer costs $2 per transaction.
